First off, there is the power steering. I have a new (rebuilt) pump that has plenty of fluid in it (not too much or too little) and it wines all the time, even when im not turnin the wheel. Then it blows fluid out of the cap and when i open the cap its full of bubbles. I know the pumps are supposed to be self bleeding and it should have bled out by know, but bubbles indicate air in the system still, right? Now for the carburation issue: brand new holley 750 double pumper, worked great for a while.......then died on me all of a sudden....held pedal to the floor and it started (flooded) but kept flooding. I cleaned out the needles and it worked great for a while and then started flooding again. i have an inline fuel filter as well as the two rock filters in the carb.......where is this trash coming from?!? Appreciate the feedback!
in my experience, having put power steering on several 67-72s over the years, you need to fill the reservoir to the top, then start the motor and turn lock to lock till it quits whining, then refill...i have never heard of a self-bleeding p/s system...good luck and pretty truck
