it finally happened to me

glass fuel filter broke sitting on top of the intake. it wasn't touching anything, it just loosened and started spewing gas out from the filter. i smelled fuel and saw a trail behind me and pulled over, fuel was coming out the passenger side so i look under the hood and the intake's valleys were full of fuel and the whole engine compartment covered in gasoline. nothing caught fire but it took the rubber undercoating off my firewall and discolored my red water pump. my amp fuse holder melted, and that's about it.
