There's something wrong with us!

It's saturday and a long-weekend for most of us too. Some of us will go camping. Some will host or attend "end of summer" BBQ's. But all of us will be thinking about the next mod, do-dad, or upgrade for our beloved trucks!
While most folks dream of the day they can afford their new C6, Viper or 911 twin-turbo, we scour Craigslist, Ebay, Nickel-Ads and U-Pull-It's looking for a OE set of Parchment seatbelts, or that elusive set of '72 extreme-curl tow hooks! Words like "Highlander", "Longhorn", "C-Notch" hold special meaning in the lexicon of truck-dom.
I for one am about to blast through that obligatory weekend "honey-do" list so I can head out to the shop and continue seperating the inner and outer panels of a replacement LWB bedside so I can do some rust mitigation. Most people think I'm insane (including my wife) but I know I can come here and find an entire community of like-minded "truck-geeks" who understand the therapuetic benefits of restoring something that by modern standards has no business being on the road!
We are the true conservationists. To hell with those tree-hugging, foo-foo coffee drinkin', birkenstock wearin' hippies in their disposable Subaru's with the Kayak on top.....we're saving natural resources by restoring and reusing something old, rather than buying new!
I love my truck, I love working on my truck, I spend a great deal of time rummaging up parts and whatnot for my truck, and I'll hopefully be able to drive my truck for a good long time. When my wifes Acura has long bit the dust and has been relegated to scrap- I will relish in the notion that I still have my '67 Chevy truck and it's still running strong.

VIVA LA CHEVY Y GMC!!!!
