Hello all,
I am the proud owner of a 1969 c10 short box that is presently under serious re-construction. I have beed working on this truck for 1 1/2 years now and have over 150 Hrs in it so far and have not touched the body yet. I am done with the frame, (frame off) it has been sandblasted, all pitts smoothed out and epoxy primed and painted black with glass shield polyurathane paint. All the suspension has been done in the same maner and now being re-assembled but some of the parts like the rear trailing arms and and front engine cross member have been painted body color (yellow with a pearl coat), and coils springs and calipers are red, rear mounted gas tank is silver bc/cc with custom made SS tank straps and red rubber insulators under the straps. I am now assembeling these parts on the frame and am almost done. On the weekend I striped painted the engine and transmission a viper red (close to GM engine red) but used the same pearl coat on it as the pearl that will be on the body. You have probably guessed by now that this is a show truck project and not a daily driver. I will post pictures as soon as I can figure out how to up-load pics to this site.
