My longest truck trip was 400 miles from Eldorado KS to La Junta CO. Drove out one day and towed it home then next. My wife and I did take Amtrak from Dodge City to Chicago to drive home a Chevy II Nova station wagon once. That was a fun trip. The nova was our first family car
