70 Blazer rear seat mounting question...

I was going to originally mount some 50/50 split seats from a 00-06 Tahoe in the back, but I fear the fabrication to mount them might be too costly at this time and I have no clue as how to do it properly. In the meantime, I have an original rear seat that I got for it before these other seats, but the problem is that my truck has no mounting holes.

Obviously my truck never came with the rear seat option, but shouldn't it have come with mounting holes anyway? Is it safe to drill new holes to mount them to the floor? If so, does anyone have any feedback on how to do this. Any suggestions or pictures of how they look mounted would be greatly appreciated.

The "original" type rear seat I have has two brackets in the back, so if anyone has pictures of theirs and how the seatbelts mount to them and the floor, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
