Question C-Notch (Pros and Cons)

Ok let me have it, I have the kit, but on the fence about installing it.
Right now aired out sitting on the rear snubbers I have 1/2" between
the frame rails & the rear axle. Obviously this would let me get down
a few more inches before the punk'n hits the bed floor. I'm only using
17's at the moment, but long term want to go either 18/20 or 20/22.
I just finally got the 15's off week before last so I am sorta stylin
My question is if I am going bigger down the road, hence more tuck,
what do I gain from installing the C-notch other than it aired out flat
on the ground look? Keep in mind I'm aproaching 40ish so I want it to
have the ability to drive aired out incase of a highway emergency

Here is the 15" pic, center of fenders was 25" F and 27.5" R, now it
is 25" F and 25.5" R with the 17's but I can't get new pic's just yet.
