Center seat belt placement question

Last week I picked up a optional center occupant lap belt for my 71' and was wondering was the male belt supposed to go on the left and the female on the right, or vice versa? Anal I know, but if I'm putting it in, I want to do it factory configured right the first time.

I know they bolt in with the exisiting bolts for your regular lap belts, just don't know which strap goes on which side. Thanks

P.S. where they supposed to bolt down on top of your regular belt or underneath?
