Call me stupid

My brother has a 69 swb step side. 3 on the tree 6 cyl. Needs very little work for this truck to be ready for paint. He replaced the cab corners and rockers, and the mounts and the wood in the bed. So lats week he told me he would take 1500.00 for it. Today I talked him out of selling the truck. He said if he had another 6 to rebuild and different gears for it...he wouldnt sell it. So I told him I have the gears and the 6 cyl sitting here. So this winter its going to be a project for me and him. We have never done this together before. I believe this will be fun.
