m49 trans option

I have searched the site, and everyone agrees that if you had the smallblock you had the 350 trans. Also I found a post about the asterisk by that option code causing a guy to wonder if that meant that even if you had a 350 motor the truck would have been equipped with the 400 trans. My cheyenne super has that asterisk by the m49 code, but the original engine and trans have been removed.

One thing I do know is that if you had the 400 trans you would have an electronic kickdown on that trans. Where on these trucks was that switch for the kickdown. On my 73 it has a switch on the accelerator for the trans. That should be a guarantee, if you find the switch you had the 400.

I would appreciate one of you guys with an original 400 trans truck letting us know where that switch was placed.
