Post brown area's on a new edelbr. intake

i've had my new intake on since the first of january, have noticed lately a brownish discoloration on the whole intake, not specifically in one area.no oil has been leakin' and been baked into the intake's finish.checked timin'cover,head's,v.c.'s etc. can't find source to make it start tarnishing and color like it is.any idea's? kinda makes you wonder if i did'nt get a lemon that missed quality control standards for aluminum spec.s from factory!anyone else had this prob.or does alum.react to heat like this?
