I've been handed the suburban torch

I bought this 1972 suburban from a good friend of mine about 14 months ago with the promise that I wouldn't part it out and would make something of it. This suburban had been in his family since it was purchased new. Throughout the years he has done a good job of keeping it original and keeping it from becoming a pile of rust. I thank him for putting in the new quarter and rocker panels. I don't really know why he gave it to me because I am more a custom truck kind of guy but I decided to take it on anyway and at least keep most of it stock. Here are some pictures of when I got it over a year ago:

I've had more then a year to work on it and it's almost done. I found this site a couple of months ago and finally decided to hope and share the obsession. Here a previous project that now adorns my side yard under a cover. But as we all know we must move on to bigger and better things... maybe literally bigger.
