1984Silverado4x4 Registered User Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Mount Horeb WI Posts: 179	Putting in a 454 Would I be able to drop a 454 from a 1978 Chevy 1ton into my 84 half ton without having to get a different transmission or doing any changes to the trans? I have the 4spd manual with the granny gear and the 1978 is a auto trans __________________ Its no disgrace being poor. Its just inconvenient.
