couple of airbag questions

I started installing my bags this weekend and ran into a few questions.

I'm using RE7s and plates and cups from suicide doors. Stock control arms.

First, on the front, the cup is not fully seating into the lower control arm. It's calked in there at an angle. Granted, there isn't a lot of weight to force it all the way down in there, but I wouldn't think there would need to be. I could cut them, but I'm not sure if this will help anything besides getting a little lower.

Next, I cut off the lower control arm bumpstop since the RE7s have internal bumpstops. But I kind forgot that those are also the steering stops. Do I need to weld those back on?

Now to the rear.

How are you guys positioning your bags? The fitting isn't in the best spot. I notched a little bit of one of the cross members for clearance, but this makes the upper and lower plate off set a little from each other in order not to be on the frame. Any suggestions would be great.
