Fuel filler that works, blazer tank?

I built a fuel filler for my blazer tank in my 72 LWB, but I'm not so sure it will work well. I planned on running a coolcap boat style cap in the drivers corner of the bed, with a brass elbow off that and a rubber hose going into the tank inlet. It seems to me that might fill slow and spill over a lot. Is there a better way than that in a LWB? I can't do the sidemarker thing as I have firebird markers. Thanks!
