Painless Wiring Help - parking/turn signal/side markers

I have a '72 C-10 SWB 2WD that I am installing a Painless Harness for. I have been reading through the threads on making the side makers blink with the turn signals and connecting all the brown wires together. However I am running in to several questions and need some help answering them. For starters, the harness wiring does not even match up to the stock configuration of my truck. Out of the harness I have 3 wires, side marker (brn/wht), parking light (brown), and turn signal (blue). On the truck I have 3 wires coming out of the rad. support connector (brn, purple, and blue) My side marker has 2 wires (brown and black) My question is, what goes where? I know I have to have a ground somewhere but where? Even in stock configuration I can not figure out where the purple wire from parking/turn signal light connects to. I have read through the instructions multiple times and does not mention anything about it. As always any help is greatly appreicated.
