Finally...Fresh Paint

Well after giving up on the first bodyman who had our truck for 370 days with no progress...I found a young fellow just back from Wyotech looking for work and just 6 miles from me!! Very pleased with the way it turned out, just have to finish the trim and lights, then wait for spring. btw..we trailered it home at 10-15 mph so no salt/sand would get on her. I would like to say thanks few board members for their help/advice and parts...Teeitup (cab,box,fender,miscparts); Jims70GMC (carb); Yukon Jack (carpet); Byrd (tach dash lense) and Zoomy for giving some pointers and advice and shipping on some parts. This project started in 2004 and has progressed like most everyones...slower and more costly than had been planned!!! But hey we are really close now. It was a father/son project that has given me the quality and quantity of extra time I was looking for with my youngest son before he graduates from high school this spring. We still talk/joke about the trip to Randy's in Meridian, he slept through most of Iowa both ways; and when we stopped for a short catnap on the way home, me sleeping on the Crispy Creme donuts....that is what this project was about for me...memories with my son.
