78 blazer auto to manual conversion

hey guys, im about to get a '78 blazer and want to swap the auto for a manual. I have already done this in my '79 malibu, so i know pretty much what needs to happen. My only thing is this will be my first 4x4, and i dont know anything about a transfer case.
The parts needed to swap out an auto for a manual in a two-wheel drive vehicle, vs the parts needed for the swap on a 4x4, what additional parts will i need? will everything from a 2x4 bolt up to a 4x4 (other than the driveshaft)

What year parts vehicles should i be looking for

Were they granny 4 speeds that came in these? the only manual knoweldge i have is with supert-10's and muncies
