Brake Booster to Firewall Mounting

I did some poking around through the search looking for a better way to mount the booster assembly tighter to the firewall. I'm planning to use a dual 8" booster, but i want to make it look cleaner. I've seen the Hydra boost setups, and the underdash Kugel setup. Heck even today at a local cruise i saw some hack job to the brackets that maybe saved the guy an inch. Ideally i want to mount the booster directly to the firewall, but something tells me it might interfer with the a column shifter or even auto shifter. I can't tell for sure, I haven't had mine in for years now. Does anyone have any pictures or directions on how this might go?

Trying to get myself motivated again!
