Double Checking the Process - Disc Brakes
I just bought a 72 3/4t frame to strip the front disc brake spindles. It is my understanding to put them on my 70 3/4t I need to replace my current style of ball joints with the 72 ball joints. Also I'll need to use the 72 tie rod ends as well. I take it that I just need to swap out the outer tie rod ends only?
I noticed that the brake lines are routed from the front on the 72. I guess while I'm having all of this fun it would be prudent to follow suit as well. Of course I'll need to swap out the porportioning valve to keep from scaring everyone when I brake at the lights (including myself). Do I have this right? Anything I'm missing or should be doing extra? I'll be posting on the Parts for Sale forum for the rest of the frame if anyone is interested. Thanks |
