Concealed Fuel Neck in my Stepside

I am getting ready to fabricate a concealed fuel neck in the D/S rear marker light. There have been a few threads buy members who have done this, so I'm gonna try it. My biggest issue was down sizing the end of an S-10 neck (2 inches) to the fill neck on the blazer poly tank (1-1/4 inch).

Was gonna use exhaust pipe but could not find 1-1/4 inch. 3/4 inch buy the way was an big jump. 1-1/4 inch copper tube was too soft.

Here's what I came up with. Our local plumbing supply house (not H/D or Lowes) suggested the following reducers: Copper 2 inch to 1-1/2 inch reducer then a Copper 1-1/2 inch to 1-1/4 inch reducer. The 2 reducers measure 4 inches long. Everything slips in real nice and I'm gonna have it tig welded for clean connection. Here's some early stage pics:
