after market sheet metal question. *pics*

I recieved some free rocker panels from a friend and i wanted to use them on my truck. He had them for maybe eight years I have had them for about 2now. I got them out the other day and noticed alot of difference in quality between the two. the one that is coated has lots of ripples where its bent or curved and it doesn't seem to be as good of quality as the bare one. the bare on says tabco on it and looks nice. SO should I or CAN I get another match to the tabco since its older or will there still be difference in quality? If there is what brand fits best so I can get two new the same. thanks for any help JOE,
