brake hose problems - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I posted about this earlier but, I really thought it'd be best if I started a thread focused on this..

I got some hoses form ECE.. and ECE swears these are the right ones (front brake hoses for 71 C10)

here are the 2 hoses.. obviously the ugly one is what came on the truck when I got it.. these fit in the hole no prob, the new one.. is the same shape, as noted.. but is larger on the end and WILL NOT fit in that hole no matter how much wiggling or anything I try.. the hole is simply too small, by a good bit.. enough to make me sure its ont the paint making it too large.
