frame fix

i have a real nice 71 swb truck i paid alot for it and it has the frame cracked over the rear coil spring the spring hanger had rusted into and some dip**** kept driving it and cracked the frame so we got a new hanger and the cup at the top of the spring and cleaned up the frame and painted it and drilled holes and bolted a peice we cut from another frame painted it and bolted it on the inside of the frame does this sound like it will be strong enough b4 we fixed it u could feel it snag on that side in the curves but now it drives fine so will this work or is there a better way to permitlly fix the frame or is there no way to fix it properly. thanks alot.
