On thursday nite I headed home to go visit my parents right after work. My parents live in the small town of Orland CA about an hour and 15min. from West Sacramento. Anyway I was off the following and my lil bro had been telling me all week long that he had found a swb fleetside bed laying in front of an old wrecking yard. He went on to tell me that had looked at it and it was originally a wood floor bed but that somebody had layed some thick sheetmetal over the rotting wood and the bedsides were in decent shape. So I went and looked at it, went inside the yard and asked the owner how much he take for it? He then responded, "I'll take $40.00 bucks for it!" I was in complete shock! But I didn't want to make it look obvious and I quickly handed the man forty dollars and quietly walked out of the office and loaded my small treasure onto the back of my '69 shortbed and got out of there like a bat out of hell!
