New from Oregon + the pictorial history of my '72 K10 (dial-up warning)
I finally decided to join up after lurking for more than a year. I first started when I bought a 2wd '65 C10 Longbed with a 305/700R4. That was far too rusty to repair so I ended up trading my race car for a '72 K10 350/4speed. It started as an original truck that had a nice paint job on it. I drove it for a while, changed the wheels and tires. Then I added a 6" suspension lift and 38x13 Swampers, broke a few axleshafts up front, replaced the shafts only to roll (actually more of a flop since it didn't even make a 1/2 roll) the truck over. The damage from the flop is very minimal and limited to the top of the cab, drivers door, and drivers fender. Most recently I got rid of the stock bed for a flatbed. Next on my list is to swap in a TH350 or TH400 with 203/205 doubler, bucket seats with internal roll cage tied into the flatbed, install the 3" body lift that has been sitting on the shelf for what seems like forever, and the last item will be to buy some 39.5" Irok's to replace the bald Swampers currently on the truck. Later in the year will come a Dana 60 front axle and the 14-bolt full-float. Here's a few pics from the beginning of the truck.
Day 1 New wheels Can you guess what's coming next? lol Halfway through New wheels again with older tires Whoops The damage from the flop
