Choices of cab sealers -
I went back to the paint store to get some 3M automix 8308 and 8307 to seal the seam on my cab roof, and the applicator "supposedly" was $150. They also had some Evercoat Maxim OEM Bead-type seam sealer (822) and self leveling sealer (824) here's the web site that describes the products:
http://www.evercoat.com/productCategory.aspx?cat=41 They are both 2-part sealers and say they are every bit as good as the 3M product, except you can use a regular caulk gun to apply - it's got a 2-part mixer built in. A tube is around $35.00 vs $35.00 plus the expensive applicator for the 3M product. Has anyone ever used this? I don't need to spend a bunch of money for an application tool I'll use once, but on the other hand, I want the stuff to last, and not have to do it again in a couple of years. Has anyone used the Evercoat???
