To slice or not to slice?

I know this topic has been around the block and back. I was wondering. Would you cut the dash on "just a driver" ? I know I'm not going to cut my A/C cab that is going on the 71. I plan on putting a cd changer in it. I want to put an Alpine in dash 3 disc changer I have in my 68 driver. I have been debating on building a console to put it in... or mounting it in the glove box ( it has a remote) but all that seems like a bunch of trouble for "just a driver". I'm on the fence with this one... and need a shove one way or the other.
