Steve Kirby' email:redneck6919@yahoo.com
This huge Chev started out as a stock truck, and Steve Kirby of Destin Florida couldn't handle that, so he installed a 6" Procomp IFS suspension lift and a 3"body, with 38x16.5x15 Swamper TSL's, on 15x14 Bart Wheels, But Steve didn't like that set-up either, so he built it stronger!. He called around to different places and finally hooked up with Boyce Equipment. they hooked Steve up with a 79 Ford Dana 44 3/4 ton front straight axel with 4.88 gears, and a GM 14 bolt rear w/ 4.88 gears. He then bought a 12" Swamprunner kit from Super Lift, a 2" straight axel conversion kit from Off Road Unlimited, and a 4" shackle flip kit from Off Road Designs. all this to clear the huge 44" Super Swamper TSL's. Heres some advise from Steve....IF YOU ARE RUNNING BIG TIRES, INSTALL A STRAIGHT AXEL!!!!. Steve calls his truck, "The Search is Over". "Wow, awesome toy Steve!!!".
