Long Bed from California
Hello..I have been around the forum for awhile and I'm finally getting my butt around to post...
I'm 23 years old from Hesperia California..The good olé desert LOL...Im a sand rail fabricator and welder... My truck is a 1981 Cheyenne with a 250 L6... Im the 2nd owner of the truck and it has 83,000 (and some old ball ) original miles... The original owner was a good friend and he recently passed away... I have changed some stuff since I received the truck.... I stripped all the hub cubs and polished them up a little bit... I then painted the rims flat black...They will be powder coated someday.. I also removed all the old trim..it was hammered on and I also ditched the Cheyenne emblems I also primer-ed the hood and painted the grill... the hood was pretty rough and needed a good sanding... The truck is 98 % rust and dent free...there is one little BB gun dent on the driver door and 2 signs of rust...on the driver front fender and rear side panel by the wheel well...this will all get fixed including all the suspension components... Its getting a complete refresh... 3/4 ton springs, ball joints, bushings, steering tie rod end, and I just put some Monroe sensa-tracs on it...( it was like a boat)....Want to make it as fresh as possible before the swap... Here are some pictures... Hopefully this summer I'm going to get around to doing my Gen III/ 4L60E swap.... Keep an eye out :Chevy: here is a gen III 6.0l setup for our rails...(headers and adapter plate) This is one I cleaned up and setup for a local buggy parts store...( those are Doug Thorley headers too) Last edited by hessian18; 02-20-2008 at 08:26 AM. |
