I've been visiting this site for some time and figured it was about time to join in. Currently I'm restoring my Dad's 1979 GMC Sierra Classic (Heavy Half) that he ordered new back in the day (high-back bucket seats, pwr steering, windows, locks, AC, cruise etc). Why he ordered white interior is beyond me, but it kinda grows on you over time and I intend on keeping it that color when the seats get re-done. On the personal side, I'm 42, four kids and an understanding wife who's put up with and 24 years of military service and still going strong on active duty with the National Guard. HOAAH!

For the last year I've been replacing cab corners, rockers, inner rockers, floor patches, kick panel, cab supports and have had to do some firewall work as well. It's been quite enjoyable considering I had to teach myself how to use a MIG.
I also have a 1977 SWB 2WD chevy that is a rust-bucket, basket case with no useable metal on the outside with a nearly perfect frame. Still debating on if I should use the frame on my Dad's truck. I say yes because I love the SWBs, what do you think?
Here are a few picks of the truck. Visit with you soon. Mike
