Vintage Air Advice

I am looking at putting a vintage air surefit system in my truck soon. I was hopping I could get some advice as were the best (least expensive) place to purchase from. I am on a tight budget but have been able to put aside some Christmas, Birthday, and side job money over the last couple years to install A/C in my truck.

I found a guy on ebay a couple months ago that had one for $985.50. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this supplier (Gordon’s rod shop Phone# 1-479-216-1994)?

Would it be a good idea to replace the stock firewall insulation before installing the A/C or go with a newer material in that area? Is there any other things I need to do before I put the kit in that I could not do after the fact?

I have already picked up a good used factory air controller at a junk yard for $5. I have a new 4 core radiator with a/c outlets and an electric fan in my stock shroud.

Thanks for the help
