Hello everyone. I've always wanted to restore and old truck to use as a daily driver, and recently puchased a 1954 3100 1/2 ton chevy truck and my biggest decission right now is that I cant decide what would be the best thing for my truck and my pocket, about my engine. If i buy a new engine do I have to change the transmission? If I change the transmission do I have to change the driveshaft? and so on and so forth. I was thinking on putting a 350/290hp V8 engine on it.
