Cylinder head help

I recently bought a '72 truck with what I believe is a '68 307. This was a project truck for a guy, but he gave up early in the game (probably the first inning).

He said the heads are no good on the motor, and gave two heads with the truck. The heads have this number stamped on them: 14102183. The valve covers are center bolt.

I think the heads are off something newer than '72 for sure, but will they work on the '68 block? The block casting number is V0111CMA.

If these heads won't work, which ones will? I'm on a tight-TIGHT budget.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
