picked up a '67...now ive got some questions

i posted a thread a few days ago about a 67 c10 i was looking at. i ended up buying it, and now theres a few things im gonna fix on it and had some questions about them.

it needs new hood hinges, because back of the hood sits up a little bit once the hood is closed. i think the springs are probly worn out but im not sure. are 67 hinges the same as the later 69-72 style fenders use? i didnt look at them to close yet.

AND.. it has the aluminum slot rims on it from the 70's dont get me wrong i kind of like em, but i have some stock 15" wheels from a 69 K10 and i was thinking about repainting them white and putting them on here. havnt decided yet i just wondered if the 4x4 rims will be the same.

and lastly, the rear end in this thing has had the spider gears welded all together. so it doesnt go around corners worth a sh*t. and im sure if i keep driving it this way somthing will break, it squeels the tires pretty good around tight corners. i know ive heard 67 rear ends are not as wide as the later ones, so i wanted to know all the details on the diffrences in the earlyer and later 12 bolts befor i go looking for another rear end. or i might just try and find a carrier and reuse the gears.
