Hatch springs?

Anyone know a source for the spring that actuates the hold down teeth on the Blazer hatch latches? The latches I'm talking about are the ones on both ends of the hatch at the bottom of each side. The spring coils around a pin and has one end anchored and the other end straight up and over the latch teeth. It's the spring that releases the latch when you turn the handle. I can't find them in the LMC or Brother's catalogs and I don't really relish the idea of making some...

Yesterday I replaced the keyed T-handle on my hatch and it went OK, but the latch spring on one end is broken. Just an fyi, be sure to replace the T-handle screws with stainless cap heads (allen heads). The originals were stripped phillips heads and were almost impossible to remove. Thank god for needle-nose vice grips...

Thanks in advance, Tony
