Shackle/ Hanger Help

I've got a 1987 SWB that already has a dropped shackle in place. The PO notched the bed to fit the dropped shackle but I'd like to look at a set of dropped leafs and shorter shackle to have the majority of the drop be in the spring, not the shackle.

My question is, is there a stock shackle that was replaced? Or does the leaf bolt directly to the bucket that is mounted to the rear of the frame? Is there such a thing as a stock shackle? Or was the "dropped shackle" created for lowering purposes only?

Hopefully that makes sense, I'm having a hard tim explaining...
