350 Block Identification
Okay, so I'm having starter troubles, can't seem to get one to last very long, and yes I'm setting the engage depth correctly. Flexplate still looks good. I decided that maybe I should make sure that I was getting the correct starter for the year of my block. Here's my numbers
Block casting #- 3970010 (has a 29 off to the side) Engine ID #- V0913TDD Found by oil filter pad: 010 020 155 I have crawled over-under-on top of-everywhere for hours looking for the partial VIN stamp, but have had no luck. For what I decoded, the block could either be a 72 or an 80 (as per the block ID#) O'reilly's auto shows 2 different #'s for starters of these year blocks, my question is, does anybody know what the difference is in these starters, or is it just a number change. Thanks for any help guys. Jared
