New guy from North Idaho

Hey guys. Im very glad I found this forum! You are all some very knowledgable guys! I own two short beds. both fleetsides. I have a 79 4wd waiting for paint, and a 70 2wd BIG block awaiting restoration. Found both of them locally. I got the 70 2wd big block shortbed for 800 bucks and it really hasnt been messed too much. somebody put a 350 in it in the mid 90's for some reason. Its actually a funny story. At the time i tried to get my boss to buy it because i couldnt afford it and he likes them as much as me. He didnt buy it because it didnt run and it has some floor pan and bed floor rust. at the time we had no idea that there was a 396 sitting in the barn right next to it that went with it. So a couple months later, i have the money, and i go get it. When the old lady who owns the house(my buddy was renting it) comes down she says theres another engine for it in the barn that i can have. sure enough. its the original 396. Im 19 and studying pre-med right now. (gonna be a dentist...hopefully). Anyway, I am getting ready to tear down my 70, and i will be posting some pics shortly.
