Will this work ? 72'Burban frame for 67 LWB ?

I have been building this 67 SWB 4x4 for a while, and it just seems like a waste to put the money into it and beat it to death in the mud, so i am thinking of taking the cab off and clip and using a 72' burban frame and making a 2wd. It's a 3/4 ton with coils.. I would probably try and switch it to 5 lug, is that even possible...?
The reason i am doing this... All the 4x4 stuff is more than enough to finish the truck as a 2wd road machine.
