Wrong Window Sweepers?
I bought a new door for my truck a few years ago. I took everything off it, painted it inside and out to match my truck, and then put it back together with new window channel insulation and the "sweepers" that go along the top edge of the door. I bought pieces from LMC. I tried to be fancy and went with the sweepers with the chrome trim. When I got the door all back together with the chrome trimmed sweepers it was and still is very hard to roll down the window. I figured it was just a worn out window regulator because I put a new roller on it while I had it apart and figured I just screwed it up.
The other door's window rolled up and down with no problem. I ran across the other half of the re-pop sweepers set in my garage the other day and installed them in the other door. Now it too hardly rolls up and down. Are the chrome trimmed pieces different than the plain jane ones? I guess the real question is should I spend the money and get a new set of the non-chrome ones or will I still have problem and just be $20 or $30 lighter.
