New guy considering a '69 SWB

Hey, new guy here. Thought I'd come look around and ask a few questions. A good friend of mine has a '69 SWB Chevy that he wants to sell. He'll be a new daddy sometime this weekend most likely, and doesn't have time for all the projects, and this ones low on the totem pole. My problem is I've got several projects too, but a 67-72 SWB GM truck has always been very near the top of my want list, and this one's pretty nice...

For a quick run down... its a 400/TH400, not sure what rear end is in it, 2WD, PS, PB-front discs, electric fan, long tube headers, coil rear susp., been lowered a bit (not sure how, but looks great!) gas tank in back, roll pan, new front bumper... paint is decent, no rust that I'm aware of, but a few places that needs some attention in the paint. Dark green with nice tan interior...

My thoughts for the truck? Fix the paint (got a friend who does that for a living), get a 5 or 6 speed manual tranny, maybe a better late model seat (solid bench now), and have some fun. Someone's put louvers in the hood and tailgate, which I'd like to replace. I think a small, maybe 2" cowl hood would be best... I've also been planning a 327 TPI for my Camino, but that would probably find its way into this truck, and leave the carb'd 350 in the Camino...

Well, anyway...

HI! looking forward to browsing, and learning...
