Question Fuel lines

I need some help please. I just got a 72 w/350 AT ...... pretty much the best thing to ever happen to me . Got a new tank w/EEC connections to replace the old one that was leaky. Got to lookin' under the truck and noticed that the previous owner plugged all of the lines except for the main line to the pump. First of all, does it matter. Second of all, does anyone have or know where a diagram is for the correct routing. I just need to know which metal lines connect to which. Thanks
