Put my windshield by myself. What a PITA

I never have any help when I need it so I am used to doing thing alone. So I tried to put my windshield in by myself. It took me twice but I got it. The first time I ran the rope around the gasket before I installed it and tied it to itself. That worked fine until the knot came loose and it just pulled out half way thru. I took it back out and did the rope again but this time I had alot of extra and tied both end to something stationary in the truck so it wouldn't pull around. So this time got it about 2/3 of the way in before the rope pulled out. So I said to heck with it and found a pick with a hook on the end that I ground the end blount so it wouldn't puncture the rubber. Then I just pulled the gasket piece at a time till I got it. In and out of the truck about 50 times to push and pull.
