I was reading an article in Swervin Ervin's website titled "changing to a non-ESC distributer at the bottom of this article it tells how to bypass the ESC part of the ESC distributer.
Has anyone tried this modification? My truck has a 305 LE9 engine and I plan to change the camshaft and intake this winter and don't know if I want the computer changing the timing advances on my truck. The reason I'am asking about this modification along with a recurve of the current dist seems cheaper and can be reversed if spark knock is noticed, since a new non-ESC dist is at least $200 and might not work on this engine. Thanks Rob Also I always run 92 octane gasoline.
