YES! another Newbie

Hello all from houston, Tx my name is Adam and I am a caraholic, lol. Anyways currently I am trying to finish my 96 Impala SS show car that I am rebuilding with a LT4 engine threw in a cam and POR15 the frame, and ALOT of shiny chrome and billet, which I am about 80 % done, and then I got the bug for a 67-72 truck again. My father use to have one when I was real young (about 9-10) and I could remember sitting on his lap driving that truck, (it was a 72 Shortbed step side that was painted green) Anyhow a quick search on craigslist and I come up to an older listing for a 72 LWB with supposivlye a rebuilt trans and motor. & the asking price was 1500.00 but he wanted to get rid of it right away and he let me take it home for $600.00 not to bad I think.

The PO had began removing the front grill, rad support, radiator and was going to start rebuilding it but stoped and let it sit for a year. When I brought it home, I put the core support and rad back in and guess what It started right up, after I figured out the wiring a bit. I took the truck out to my father ranch to store it (unitil I finish my Impala) and drove it around the road. Drives okay but need to do a few things, I am happy for far and do plan on making it a RELIABLE driver.

I am glad I found a forum, dedicated t the 67-72 gen truck, its nice to have support when you need ideas or have problems.

Here are more pics of the truck
