72 on 92 k2500 frame?

Hi there, I am trying to find info on putting a '72 cab & box on a '92 K2500 diesel pickup frame (reg cab). The running gear on this truck is in great shape but the body is gone. I have always wanted a '72 and this seems to be the time to do it. Anyone out there tried this combo? I don't want a straight axle, I mostly use the 4wd in winter to get around (Edmonton Alberta). They can be a bit slow getting the snow off the roads. We just finished getting about 6inches 2 days ago! Anyways any info you guys might have would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Does anyone know the front track width on a 72 C10 or C20 pickup?
