flipping springs?

I was on the Dodge forum asking about how to lower my straight axel 3/4 ton. A guy came up with the idea of flipping the leafs up front. here is what he typed:

FLIP THE SPRING PACK UPSIDE DOWN, THIS IS NOT PUTTING THE AXLE ON TOP OF THE SPRINGS, BUT INSTEAD FLIPPING THE SPRING PACK AND KEEPING THE AXLE ON THE BOTTOM

What do you guys think of that idea? Think it would work? what about ride quality.
