Wiring/Alternator Question

I had to replace my alternator yesterday (unfortunately I got the wrong one, so I have to replace it again today) and I made a stupid stupid mistake.

Red Wire I know where it goes.

Black wire, I know where it goes.

I have two other wires that plug in to the back. One is yellow, one is bluish-green. I would suspect that they aren't the original colors, but can't hurt to ask.

I -thought- I wrote down "Yellow on top, Green on bottom" but then it was raining and the paper fell in the mud and I stepped on it, so I can't read it.

I may have wrote down "Green on top, Yellow on bottom"

So now I am utterly confused. And by "top" I mean when the alternator is mounted correctly.

So any help? Suggestions? How do I know if they are in correctly? or wrongly?

1970 C-10 with 350 crate motor.
