8" Brake booster... Will it work????

Im considering installing an 8" dual diaphragm brake booster on the frame rail. I dont have enough room to fit a larger booster because of ground clearance. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with, or or has installed one on their truck. Does it provide enough brake pressure, or do i need to go with a 9 or 11" booster? I spoke with someone from Baer, and they said that if the pedal has a ratio of 6:1 that it should provide the same pressure as an 11" booster. So i dont know what to do... but thats the info I have. If you guys can help, let me know. Thanks!
